"In June 2001, in search of something different, I attended my first Le Mans 24 Hours. The experience was so unique that I, like many others, have been compelled to return to the beautiful La Sarthe region of France every June since. And from that most illustrious starting point I have discovered numerous further events through Europe each with their own unique ambience and character. One common theme, however, is the need for some amount of local knowledge to make the absolute most of these trips. I have always shunned the all-inclusive packages and the rigid schedules and hiked up prices associated with them, preferring instead to discover things at my own pace.
