camping amongst the trees out on the Nordschleife!

The spectator areas around the Nordschleife double up as temporary camping grounds during the Nürburgring 24 Hours. All are facilitated with portaloos and water tanks and in 2010 some of the sites had temporary showers as well. Most of the campsites also have temporary bars serving snacks, beer, soft drinks and water. Entry to all the spectator/camping grounds on foot will be permitted on production of an Event ticket however to gain access with a vehicle will require the purchase of a camping permit for every person in the vehicle. These can be purchased ‘on the gate’ and are priced according to the number of days you wish to stay.

Camping is on a first come first served basis so the earlier you arrive the better placed you will be to find a good pitch. However, arriving as late as Friday or Saturday should not pose a problem unless you plan on camping in the most popular sites, i.e. those that offer the best spectating opportunities such as Wipperman or Hatzenbach.
