the big wheel is a permanent fixture at Le Mans

The funfair has been a permanent fixture at Le Mans for many years. In particular, the big wheel at night is an iconic image. It used to be found sprawling across the infield and outfield between the Dunlop Chicane and the Esses but in recent years it has inexplicably down sized and relocated in part to the south of the pitlane heading out towards the Maison Blanche campsite. The big wheel at least seems to have survived and is worth a ride during Saturday night when you will have a panoramic view of the race. The funfair is only a 24 Hour thing so you won't find it at the Classic.
