Angoulême lies in the Charente region
of France, only 100Km from Bordeaux. Although driving through
France is always a pleasurable experience, a journey to
Angoulême will obviously take longer than a morning.
It is advisable to consider all the possible channel crossings
in an effort to reduce your journey time. We strongly recommend
travelling Portsmouth-Caen with Brittany Ferries as their
sailing times and routes are the most convenient. Of course,
there is always the cheaper Dover-Calais option available
through a number of different operators.
